SAARC Journalist Forum expressed solidarity in the ongoing sit-in in front of Kantipur Publications

Kathmandu. SAARC Journalist Forum (SJF), Nepal Chapter has expressed its solidarity with the movement organized by the Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) against the series of professional insecurity and humiliation of working journalists in Kantipur Media Group. The team led by President of Nepal Chapter Prakash Silwal has expressed solidarity and support in the ongoing sit-in in front of Kantipur Publications premises at Thapathali today. Secretariat member of Nepal Chapter Madhav Prasad Tiwari and member Shyam Tandukar also participated in the sit-in. In the big media house of Nepal like Kantipur, the working journalists are fired against the law, they are transferred to places where there are no posts and they are not given salary and service facilities according to the law even in the face of Dashain festival. Nepal Chapter earnestly urges the concerned parties to give up such wrong actions and thinking and solve the problem quickly through heartfelt dialogue.
